Pigment is not one problem, and it does not have one fix. Genetics, sun, and hormones each call for a different approach.

The wrong laser can actually make some pigment worse, so we start by figuring out which kind you have, then match the device and the settings to it.

Melasma

Symmetrical, patchy discoloration on the cheeks, forehead, or upper lip, influenced by hormones and sun. We treat it with the LaseMD Ultra and Hollywood Spectra, plus topical therapy and serious sun protection. The LaseMD Ultra (1927nm Thulium) clears surface pigment. The Hollywood Spectra (1064/532nm) breaks down deeper pigment.

Solar lentigines

Sun and age spots from cumulative UV, common on the face, hands, and décolleté. The Lutronic Clarity II (755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG) targets that pigment across skin types. Energy fragments excess melanin so the body can clear it.

Sun damage

Widespread freckling, blotchiness, and dullness. We choose laser and energy-based treatments to restore a more even tone, then protect the result.

Frequently asked questions

How are these treated?

With targeted lasers and energy devices, plus professional topicals, chosen for your skin type and the kind of pigment you have.

How many sessions are needed?

Some clients improve after one session. Others need 3–6 treatments, depending on severity.

Is there downtime?

Non-ablative options have minimal recovery. More intensive resurfacing can cause temporary redness or peeling.
